Willow Springs Lake Day Trip
Mark Your Calendar for Sunday, July 24th!
It has become a tradition for Life Discovery to make an annual trip each summer to Willow Springs Lake.
This lovely lake is on the Mogollon Rim in northern Arizona–a 2+ hour drive from Phoenix. Drive up and make a lazy day of it in the cooler weather. Swim, fish, hike, kayak, or just hang out. Bring watercraft if you have it. It’s an all-day event.
Other Things to Bring: a chair, camera, drinking water, your own lunch, snacks to share, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, a hat, water shoes &/or walking shoes, and sweatshirt. All are welcome! Call Elly with questions at 623-297-1110.
DIRECTIONS to Willow Springs Lake Take the 101 East to Shea Blvd, turn left. Turn left on Beeline Hwy (AZ-87) to 260 in Payson. (Safeway shopping center on the SE corner of 87 & the 260 is a great place for a break and additional provisions. It’s at the east end of the shopping center). Follow 260 to crest of the Mogollon Rim, go 1 mile past Rim Road (Road on left, Visitor Center on right) to Willow Springs Lake Rd (NF 149). There is a sign on the right – Turn left and follow road to lake. We are right of the boat launch.
